I began collecting scratch-it lottery tickets in 2023.  I found the activity novel, fun, and mildly addictive.  I saw a parallel between this innocuous form of gambling and all strata of society deteriorating by being lured into ‘happiness’ through a quick fix.  Each sculpture is comprised of 2 or more tickets to create a semblance of a creature.  These creatures, referencing insects, are intended to be understood as an infestation.
